How we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Current Tools.
Last updated: July 10, 2026
At Current Tools, privacy isn't an afterthought — it's our foundation. We believe you should be able to use tools without being tracked, profiled, or monetized. Here's our promise explained clearly.
Nothing. Current Tools doesn't have sign-ups, accounts, or forms that collect personal data. Every tool processes your inputs locally in your browser and discards them when you close the tab.
We don't use analytics, tracking scripts, or advertising networks. Your usage of Current Tools is not monitored. We don't know which tools you use or what data you enter into them.
Current Tools does not use cookies for tracking, advertising, or profiling. No session cookies. No persistent cookies. No third-party cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.
All tool computations happen exclusively in your web browser using JavaScript. Whether you're calculating your BMI, compressing an image, or extracting text via OCR — your data stays on your device. Nothing is uploaded to any Current Tools server.
Some tools load libraries from CDNs (Content Delivery Networks) — specifically Tesseract.js for OCR, gif.js for GIF creation, and JSZip for ZIP downloads. These CDNs receive your browser's IP address as part of standard HTTP requests. We have no control over CDN logging practices.
Some tools use your browser's localStorage to save preferences (like timer state or to-do list items). This data never leaves your device and is cleared when you clear your browser data.
We don't share your data because we don't have it. We don't sell, rent, trade, or otherwise disclose any personal information to third parties. We can't share what we don't collect.
Since we store no user data, we have nothing to disclose in response to legal requests. We comply with applicable laws but our privacy-by-design architecture means compliance is straightforward.
Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR in Europe, CCPA in California, etc.), you may have rights including:
Since Current Tools doesn't collect personal data, these rights are inherently satisfied. If you have any questions, contact us.
Current Tools is suitable for all ages. Since we don't collect personal information from anyone — children or adults — we are fully compliant with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and similar regulations worldwide.
If our privacy practices change, we'll update this page and note the revision date. Significant changes will be announced via a notice on the homepage. Our commitment to privacy will never weaken.
